Microsoft will be unveiling their Windows 8 tablet by next week in California at a conference. This tablet will be manufactured by Samsung and will have an Intel chip inside. BUILD conference will be beginning on Tuesday where Steven Sinofsky, the Windows CEO, will unveil early version of the Windows 8 tablet.

A Korean Website says that this tablet will be made by Samsung and it will be the first collaboration project between Samsung and Microsoft for hardware devices.

It is a bit surprising that Samsung is using Intel chips in these tablets; there were rumours that the tablet would have ARM processors from Texas Instruments, Qualcomm or Nvidia.

ARM processors are used widely in tablets and smartphones because they economical in power usage and hence give a bigger battery life. It is said that these tablets are manufactured by Samsung as a protection in case there are some problems with the Android tablets. Samsung is currently threatened by some legal lawsuits in a lot of countries around the world for their Android tablets. Also, the Korean company is targeting people who are comfortable using Windows ecosystem.

At BUILD conference, Microsoft will try to convince potential tablet buyers to go for Windows 8 as it will give them the traditional Windows experience in a tablet. The new OS is also expected to have Live Tile interface which will be similar to the UI of Windows Phone 7 devices.
